A New Century:

The year is 1999, and the current American political system as we know it in shambles. Everyone expected President Perot to win reelection, but not to the extent that he did:

President Ross Perot (Ref-TX)/Vice President James Stockdale (Ref-IL) 330 EV
Former Vice President Al Gore (D-TN)/Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) 126 EV
Senator Bob Dole (R-KS)/ Former Governor Lamar Alexander (R-TN)

Many political pundits speculate that that this upcoming election will come down to the wire, as all three political parties have something to prove. Will the Reform Party be able to unite under one figure and show that the party wasn't simply a fad in the 90's? Will the Democratic Party stick with their roots and nominate a liberal, or will they have to evolve their platform in order to be more popular to the center-trending nation? And finally, will the Republican Party be able to go back to the ways of Reagan, or has Reaganism tired itself out?

Reform Party Candidates:
Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota
Governor George Pataki of New York

Democratic Party Candidates:
Businessman Donald Trump of New York
Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota
Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson of Illinois

Republican Party Candidates:
Businessman Steve Forbes of New Jersey
Former United States Secretary of Housing and Development Jack Kemp of New York
United States General Colin Powell of New York
Former White House Director of Communications Pat Buchanan of Virginia

ITTL, some Republicans and Democrats changed their affiliations to the Reform Party. PM me if you have questions with regards to a politician

(Signups start today, and will end on July 4th at 11:59 EST)

I always commit to games that I don't have time for, but can I reserve Pat Buchanan as a Republican for the time being?

Since Ross Perot has won the presidency twice, how's the US doing? To be more specific: Do we have a surplus? Did the U.S. intervene in Kosovo? If so, did we succeed?

The '92 election was truly breathtaking, as no candidate received an electoral majority. However, Congress decided to put partisan lines to the side in this issue, as they all knew that Ross Perrot was by and far the most center-oriented candidate. However, Perrot's VP was Al Gore, as he was the only way the Democrats were willing to agree upon the deal. Despite the two politicians being vastly different, they were able to work together pretty well, until Perrot started  being anti-environment in order to stimulate the economy more
The United States became more isolationist following Perot's first term. Additionally, NAFTA was never put into place. Many associate America's rise out of debt to Ross Perrot, although Ohio Representative John Kasich (REF) was the one truly behind the wheel. No armed American stepped foot in Kosovo, although the United States supplied weapinry and vehicles to NATO. Most of the American action was done during the latter half of the war, as the Peace Corps launched a program in order to help out the new nation in the creation of an infrastructure and a successful government

Did Al Gore resign in protest/forced out due to some donation scandals, or do you mean Vice Admiral James Stockdale and not Vice President?

After 3 years, Gore resigned from office, as the two where having huge feuds. And Perrot's new VP was indeed the man he ran with

Wow, Perot must really be loved by the Canadian Left for his actions. By the way, does Reform have a majority in either one of the Legislative branches?

No, although the Reform Party did take in a lot of center-right/center-left Congressmen/Congresswomen. As of right now, the party is at modern day NDP levels of representatives, which is pretty good given the fact that the party will be celebrating its eight birthday soon😜
