I had thought that the reasons Mormons hated Trump was that he was a thrice married vulgarian and his fued with Romney. But this points out that unlike other conservative Christians, when Mormons hear someone talking about banning Muslims and monitoring their houses of worship, some Mormans think "are we next?"

I don't have anything kind to say about Cruz.
But the fact that trump attacked and said those horrible things about Cruz's dad was really disgusting.
For trump to find the really, really low-road and start to attack other candidates' family members was horrific.
How would trump feel if someone attacked his mom or dad. Or maybe his wife, daughter or sons ?
Just another reason to hate Donald The Clown.

That has always been obvious. Mormons are a minority, and all minorities, even the ones Trump has not insulted, feel the same here.

I have been frequently citing an apocriphal story about an old Armenian guy, who, on his deathbed, told his childredn to take care of the Jews. When the children asked: "Why the Jews", he responded: "when they are done with the Jews, they will get on to us".  It is a very strong sentiment.

So why didn't Lee endorse his "best friend" early in the game and go out and campaign for him?  Cruz didn't have a single endorsement from his colleagues, IIRC.

Cruz doesn't need Senatorial endorsements - his supporters hate the establishment, and those who know Mike Lee knew that he wouldn't endorse anyone else as long as Cruz was in the race.
