This just might be the year he's sent away from Congress. Kirkpatrick is a very strong challenger, and he seems to be imploding.

I think McCain beats Kirkpatrick by 6 points. If Trump implodes after the RNC, then Kirkpatrick will win by 5 points. She would be the GOP's biggest target in the 2022 midterms.

It's time for McCain to retire. He's made it clear that he's off his rocker.

It's time to retire for this old turtle. Go Kirkpark! I'd like to have a Democratic senate with Big Don in the White House.

Had Obama said this, Republicans would be up in arms about how it's more proof of this alleged Obama apology tour.

Honestly I really can't see that happening.

I don't think you're using the word 'literally' correctly.

I think that Ann Kirkpatrick defeats John McCain in a very close race forty-something to forty-something percent.

... Could someone please explain to me why it's OK to blame America for Iraq but not Afghanistan?

The United States had comparably small role in Afghanistan as opposed to the Soviets (who waged war there), the British (who conquered it in the 1800s), the Persians (who conquered it millennia ago). America was one of the few ones who were attacked because of their ideals, not because of previous conflicts.

Well, he’s not totally wrong. Like Iraq, Afghanistan is a mess. Not as big as Iraq, but nevertheless a mess. The intervention was an ad-hoc decision to demonstrate strength after 9/11. W made the original mistake and Obama’s increase of combat troops proved to be ineffective. Taliban are bad guys, but Afghanistan is a lost cause. Just ask the Russians. They left frustrated and in disarray. Once again, we didn’t learn from history. Too sad for all the soldiers who lost their lives or where injured and all the suffering for their families and friends.
