So that's 4.

I now Jeb is staying home and possibly supporting Gary Johnson, but are Graham, Gilmore, Pataki, Kasich, Fiorina, Christie, Paul, Huckabee, Santorum, Walker, and Perry going?

(Did I miss anyone?)

That list of speakers is downright pathetic.

Where is the showbiz?!

Chachi is going to speak

Looks like Tuesday night is the downer.  Sharon Day, Michael Mukasey, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Chris Christie... my guess is they'll all give paper-thin speeches and hope the media doesn't even notice they were there (well, maybe not Christie).  Headliners are Ben Carson and his two less-successful children.

So that's 4.

I now Jeb is staying home and possibly supporting Gary Johnson, but are Graham, Gilmore, Pataki, Kasich, Fiorina, Christie, Paul, Huckabee, Santorum, Walker, and Perry going?

(Did I miss anyone?)

dfwlibertylover posted the schedule just a few posts ago, and it includes Perry, Christie, and Walker:

Perry is speaking on Monday night, while Christie is speaking on Tuesday night and Walker is speaking on Wednesday night.

Regarding the others…

Huckabee will be there, but won’t be speaking (he says his contract with Fox News won’t allow him to speak at a political convention):

http://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/headlines/huckabee-calls-show-2016-candidates-petulant-dishonorable

Gilmore couldn’t even get elected as a convention delegate, so not sure if he’s going:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/virginia-politics/2016/05/02/61d0e896-107e-11e6-8967-7ac733c56f12_story.html

Paul was elected a delegate, but is still skipping:

http://www.stltoday.com/news/national/govt-and-politics/rand-paul-skipping-republican-national-convention/article_6b443585-5327-5609-8c1c-7f1efa759227.html

Bush, Fiorina, Graham, Kasich, and Pataki….none of them have endorsed Trump.  So I’d assume they’re not going.  (Though Cruz hasn’t endorsed him either, yet still gets a speaking slot, so I don’t know.)

No idea what Santorum’s doing.

No, she's just introducing her father on the final night.

Btw, I'll be locking this thread in a few hours, and starting an RNC live commentary thread.  It'll include the list of speakers in the OP.

So the biggest Hollywood star they could get to speak at the Republican convention is Scott Baio?? Real? Now I think I understand why Mitt Romney let Clint Eastwood come in at the last minute and ramble incoherently at an empty chair for ten minutes. They couldn't even believe it when they got a big star.

The preconvention event at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame had a long security line. I didn't wait. There was another event in the Flats with a concert by Lynyrd Skynyrd this evening, too. It was easy to be 10 feet from the stage for a good concert. There were free drinks and better yet free White Castles handed out at the gate.
