How many of these guys + Christine Whitman will hold their ground, and which of them will cave and become Trump pawns?  I can't see Glenn Beck still fantasizing about murdering Donald Trump come October, for instance.

I think they all will hold the line.

Are you joking?  These are Republicans.   These people are born spineless.

Why is Bill Clinton listed though?  Seriously?

At least 75% of these will hold firm with Beck the least likely to turn to supporting Trump out of the bunch.

Neither are Kasich or Flake.  They haven't endorsed Trump, and say that they won't unless Trump changes his ways, but that's different from ruling it out, like Romney, Baker, Whitman, etc. have.

So I don't understand what the poll question is asking.  Which of them will endorse Trump eventually?  OK, on that score, Rubio's the only one on this list who's done so so far.

Y'all don't have much faith in Kasich do you?  In my opinion if he was planning on getting on the Trump train he would have done it by now so he could get the VP slot.  Kasich has no motivation to do anything but totally reject Trump.

Also can't believe I forgot Ted Cruz.

These are all intelligent people, who are not red necks, who are not racists, who have not called women slobs, dogs, and fat pigs, who do not make fun of disabled people, who do not advocate carpet bombing babies and toddlers, so they will all "hold the line".

Except Rubio has already failed to do so.  He's endorsed Trump....though he's done so while also trying to distance himself from Trump, saying that he's simply the less bad option compared to Clinton.

Are.  You.  Fookin.  Serious?  Their entire party has been all about those things since at least Nixon.  It is amazing how indignant these people get when they have a man on the ticket who at least has the nads to say "yeah you are all scumbags" when they have been abusing all those groups you listed, have supported extreme economic and foreign policy racism for decades, and made the GOP a Christian Identity party during Bush with bombing Middle Eastern nations back to the Stone Age and stating on a national party platform that gays are a menace to society.

Seriously,  I might hate you hypocrites more than Trump.  At least he isn't hiding his beliefs under holier than thou respectable WASP snobbery.

The Republican Party is not a racist party.  There may be some individuals in the party who are, but the mainline Republicans are not.  You will find some racist Democrats too my friend.

No Republican Presidential candidate besides Trump has ever called women slobs, dogs, and fat pigs.

No Republican Presidential candidate has ever made fun of disabled people, as I am aware.

No Republican Presidential candidate besides Trump has advocated intentionally bombing babies and toddlers.  The bombings were more strategic.

By the way, the biggest escalation and mass bombings was ordered by Democrat Lyndon Johnson.

Kasich, Rubio, and Flake will all cave.  The rest will not endorse Trump to the end.  Not even say "I'm voting for Trump." or "I'm voting for the Republican ticket!".

Roger Waters isn't wrong.  The GOP has been, at a number of levels, all about what they accuse Trump of being about (racism) for years.  Trump isn't a racist, but he DOES take a hard line on immigration.  Only Trump has doubled down on it, putting the GOP into a panic.  In truth, Trump has taken done little more but suggesting that the GOP has meant what it says on immigration all these years.  And Trump has not engaged in the kind of "dog whistles" against blacks that other Republicans have over the years.  (In that respect, Trump gets a bit of a bad rap.)

Trump has brought the hypocrisy of the GOP out into the open.  They have pushed the "Obama's a Muslim!" line to the point where it's become an alternate reality to Republicans; why are they surprised when Trump wants to do something that addresses the issue of National Security and Muslims in ways Republicans have been barking about for years.  (In 2008, only McCain and Ron Paul were against waterboarding.)  Trump is really no different on immigration and Muslims than any other Republican in 2012, or even 2008.

What he's different on is Free Trade and Interventionism.  He's touched the third rails; indeed, he's shorted them out.  The GOP's needle on trade and interventionism has moved, and Trump has moved it, and THAT'S what the brouhaha about Trump is about from the #NeverTrump crowd.  It's all about trade and interventionism.  And the money this generates for the donor class.  If Trump didn't rock these boats, he'd not be hassled by the #NeverTrump crowd.  Of course, had Trump not rocked those boats, he'd not be the presumptive nominee, either.
