Has anyone else seen the Ultimate Edition cut of Batman v. Superman yet? I saw it last night and it is much, much better than the theatrical version. There's a lot of good character development for Clark Kent and the pacing of the film is far more coherent. It also sets up the parallelism between Jonathan Kent and Thomas Wayne and their sons far better, making the Martha scene more palatable in my opinion.

It really is a shame that it wasn't the version released in theatres.

That's very good to know and I'll check it out at some point, but no amount of extended cut can correct for the utter butchering of Batman's character.

I will say that the extended footage actually sheds a little more light on this and makes his character arc more apparent. Batman isn't really Batman until the end of the film, and the reasons for his recklessness are much more pronounced.

Spoilers

It's much better in that it have a coherent history. Of course it doesn't save it from being boring, dour and badly written. The Lois Lane plot is still a complete waste of time, Lex is still a complete lunatic with no coherent motivation, but at least the way he let his assistant die have emotional meaning (as what a horrible pierce of human fecal matters). Batman is still a complete idiot.

Doesn't Batman still kill a lot of people in it?
