Sessions. Let's make this ticket about 10 times more unelectable.

Kasich, the only one willing to get Trump to change his campaign.

Very barely Carson over Gingrich because the good doctor is slightly more hilarious.

Gingrich because that's a VP debate I'd actually watch (especially vs Warren).

The most venerable Christopher Christie (but recommend Kasich if he wants to win)

Out of these all, Kasich of course. Out of the realistic ones, Bob Corker.

Webb and Kasich are the best choices. Webb would deliver Virginia and mark a huge pivot to the center to make up for his walking around with his foot perpetually lodged in his mouth for the past month. I could also see him appealing to a lot of the blue collar guys in the rust belt who usually vote for Dems making it "safe" for them to vote for Trump. Kasich would give him Ohio and sure up the support of most "establishment" Republicans preventing him from losing a bunch of red states due to low turnout. Cruz would probably be the third choice.

Trouble is, there's no chance in hell Cruz/Kasich do it since they're both hedging their bets for 2020 at this point, and I also seriously doubt Webb would do it.

Haha, a poll actually had Webb making Trump do WORSE in Virginia.

Kaine is far more popular than he is.

Really, I assumed he was popular up there. Never mind then.

Gingrich/Sessions won't help him with Cubans in South Florida or anyone in the I-4 corridor. He's going to do fine in the panhandle regardless.

Assuming anyone on the list is guaranteed to accept? I would go with Tim Scott, who would provide needed diversity and could help to please unsatisfied conservatives.

Assuming otherwise? Gingrich has the necessary experience and would make a good attack dog, although he's far from the ideal choice.

Depends - if I'm a strategist for him and want him to win, I go with Corker. Corker, unlike most on this list, doesn't have a lot of baggage. Corker's boring, sure, but unlike Thune or Pence, he's not a hard right winger either. Corker would add heft to the ticket, unlike Walker or Tim Scott, and unlike nominating a dem with Jim Webb, I don't think Corker offends party faithful. Corker is the smartest choice if you want the Trump ticket to begin appealing beyond Trump's narrow sect of voters.

If I want him to lose, Brewer or Fallin. Brewer is worse because, unlike Fallin, Brewer comes off as a complete nutcase, evil, AND incompetent. Fallin is comparatively polished.

By the way -
I believe SWING STATE VP CHOICES are choices made by desperate people who are already desperately behind, so that knocks Ernst, Kasich, and Walker off the list right away.

Tim Scott is my ideal choice, but realistically I'd go with Christie since the Clinton corruption argument is about as mute as Bridgegate is now.
