Word on the street is that it's down to these two for VP. Who would you prefer?

Warren, but wouldn't be surprised if Kaine is the pick given the Senate dynamics involved.

Kaine is

-pro guns

-anti abortion

And those have been two issues that Hillary has strongly highlighted.

Warren because even though there are only two parties, Progs and Dems need a coalition government.

Warren is simply too important in the Senate to be VP. Too few legislators would push the kind of legislation she does with as high a profile. This is more important from Congress than White House.

I'm not as bullish on Kaine as I was- I'm leaning Becerra, Castro and Franken. Kaine seemed clean if boring. Gift allegations, even if allowable, are not what Clinton needs. But what Dems need is Warren in the Senate, so of the two, Kaine.

Uh, I'm pretty sure he has a 100% pro-choice voting record. Who cares if he's "personally pro life" or whatever.

That's how he campaigned for governor. In the Senate he flipped on both.

Warren is important in the Senate, so Kaine is a better choice for VP by default because his presence there would not be missed.

Elizabeth Warren.

Clinton should only worry about picking the best person for the ticket, not about one seat in the Senate.

Obama had between 57 and 60 Senators on his side and look what good it did him.

Warren would be an awful choice all around. Hillary isn't going to pick her. They don't get along that well. Plus, Warren comes on WAY too strong and we don't need a VP like that. She'd be bored with the job in no time, besides. Kaine is the type of person who would fit into the job well, and also work well with Hillary. For me it's a no-brainer: Kaine is the best choice.

My head says Hillary will be safe and cautious and select Kaine

My heart says she should be bold and daring and select Warren

My personal preference is Warren. I find nothing appealing about Tim Kaine and don't think he adds anything to the ticket besides being a middle-aged white male. We already dispelled of the myth that VP's add anything vote wise from their home state - so why not go for the bold and exciting choice and gin up some enthusiasm. Did Hillary see that Pew poll today about voter satisfaction? Only 43% of Dems are enthusiastic about their choice - she needs to make people excited and I think Warren adds that. Her appearance in Ohio should give the team some indication of what it will be like on the stump with Clinton/Warren together.

Obviously as a Republican who wants Hillary clinton to lose i say I prefer Elizabeth Warran since she would be a poor choice, but I voted for Tim Kaine since he's clearly a better choice for the Democrats.

I'm fine with either. I would probably suggest Kaine if she asked for my advice, but I predict she'll pick Warren.

If we're thinking past 2017, Warren's seat is a lot safer than Kaine's.

No to Tim Kaine!

He was useless as DNC chair and, during his time, the party lost the U.S. House via 60-plus seats with the midterm elections of 2010.

Elizabeth Warren is needed in a lead, not supporting, role. She is closer to that by remaining in the U.S. Senate.

I don’t have the answer. And part of the reason is that I kind of don’t care. (I do. I don’t. I do. I don't.)
