If Trump picks Flynn, it would be the first cross party (Democratic-Republican) ticket since 1860.

You mean 1864.

Did Teddy choose a Democrat in his 1912 race?

No, he chose Hiram Johnson.

“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”
A Trump Flynn ticket would probably be the least cross bearing GOP ticket to date. But the rest applies.

Actually it will be the first time in history a Republican ticket will have two lifelong Democrats.

He isn't really a lifelong Democrat, unless you're implying he's a "RINO" or a plant. He's switched back and forth multiple times, supporting GOP candidates in the '80s and '90s, supporting Democrats in the '00s, and returning to the GOP after 2012.

He's an independent overall.

He's a plant, all right. All that remains to be known is whether he's a Kremlin plant or a Clinton plant.

I just found out he's a fellow Rhode Islander Sad

Can't RI ever have a normal politician rise to national attention?

So Trump is going all in on the George Wallace comparison with a Curtis LeMay, too!
I love it.  This could be the turning point in making America great again.  Yay!!!

That would explain the D next to his name.

"Rabid anti-muslim, pro-Putin General"? Try harder.

And this description doesn't fit why?

Perhaps he considers it too flattering.

He's not pro-Putin, except the time he sat across the same table as Putin in Moscow and praised him.

No way this dude is picked. He’s a liberal on social issues, pro-choice and pro-gay-marriage for example. Maybe the Trumpster himself doesn’t care about that, but the convention won’t nominate Flynn. And, as registered Democrat, he's ineligible to appear on the ballot as a Republican even if he changes his Registration now.
