Only my father.  My mother was born in Canada.  (Though she left at a pretty young age, and so doesn't actually know anything about hockey.)

Yes, even in the same district/county - but not the same city.

Yes. You have to go a few generations back in my ancestry to find a non-American.

Yes, although my dad was born in a different state. I was born in California, like my mom, her mom, and even her mom. What I do know is that my grandma's grandma (i.e. my great-great-grandmother was born in Victorian England and moved to San Francisco shortly after the 1906 earthquake). I'm fairly sure my dad's maternal side hasn't been in this country nearly as long, as I know my dad's maternal grandmother was primarily fluent in Slovenian and died fairly early of Alzheimer's (at least 10 years before I was born).

To expand upon the question here, all of my grandparents were also born in the United States. It is at the great-grandparent and great-great-grandparent level that things become more complicated. I am fairly certain that no ancestor of mine was in the United States prior to the 20th century.

I included the last option since borders change.  How would a German-born person answer if his parents were born in German parts of present-day Poland prior to WWII?

Anyway, option 3 for me.  My mom was born in Iowa, but my dad was born in British India.  He was born in Lahore, which is in present-day Pakistan, and when he was a baby, his family had to flee to Indian Punjab after the partition of 1947.

Wow, I'm half Punjabi half white too! Other fleeing direction for my family though, but my dad was born a few years after partition in Faisalabad (Lyallpur). My mom was born in Ufa Bashkir SSR Russian SFSR USSR. And I was born in Dallas so option 2 for me. What part of Indian Punjab did they end up settling in?
