He seems very serious now though. In fact, he came out about a month after the '04 election and said he's acting like he's running already.

And I totally agree with what BRTD said. It will be fun to watch him crash and burn.

He won't win the nomination.  At best he'll take votes away from the other moderate candidates challenging Hillary.

If she runs, which I'm starting to have doubts about.

He'll be crushed... and in the process could take key votes away from other moderate dems.

It would bother me if because of Biden, someone like Hillary (not so moderate) beats out someone like Mark Warner (moderate)

He's been saying this all along...and all he's doing is gunning for a VP slot under Hillary.

He'd add nothing to the ticket. He has no chance at either top or bottom. Just settle for your Senator-For-Life position Joe, it's not getting any better.

I actually have thought of that as a possibility before and still do. I also see Bill Richardson trying for it, too.

He comes off as a tough SOB and some people like that, especially with a woman at the top of the ticket. I personally can't stand him because he's a tough SOB or, as I see it, just arrogant.

Biden as a VP would add toughness and national security credentials to the ticket. I'm tired of inept or boring VPs.

Feingold is probably hoping for a race with the following:

Feingold
H. Clinton
Biden
Warner
Bayh

Whoops, the moderate vote got split 4 ways.

Anyways, the other Senator Joe has more of a chance than Biden.

Biden needs to shut up and go back to Delaware where's he wanted.  This didn't work in 1988, and it won't work now.

why are the democrats so hostile  about biden?

are they angry that he actually has a little knowledge?

i know the dems prefer people who look good on tv, with little or no grasp on national issues, and portray themselves as 'populists' (ie john edwards and mark warner)

biden is one of the smartest people the dems have.

but, i too, get a tear in my eye when i hear of little johnny edwards humble beginings.  that is the stuff presidents are made of.

Biden would be a decent VP, but no way he could win the Prez unless there is a major shake-up in the political spectrum in the next two years.

Agreed, he is going nowhere. He is another Kerry.  At best.

Biden is wrong on the Iraq war.
Biden is wrong on the bankruptcy bill.
Biden is wrong on mindlessly bashing Dean.
Biden is wrong on using the word "I" too much.
Biden is wrong on plaijarizing stuff.

If they can portracy Kerry as an out of touch north-eastern liberal elite, they can definitely do that to Biden.

The man has no positives. What's he going to do - deliver Deleware?
