Not a very becoming statement of a justice at all.

While I agree with her sentiments, it's inappropriate for a Justice to comment on electoral politics.

Yeah, and Justice Thomas probably thinks that Clinton would ruin the Supreme Court. So what's your point?

Eeh, she's retiring next year anyway.  The Notorious RBG can throw all the shade she wants.

Maybe not, but it's similar to what Comey did with Hillary. He overstepped his bounds with his criticism of her. Tit for tat I guess.

The problem now is that if we get Trump v. Clinton this December, she will probably be impeached if she doesn't recuse, and if she recuses, it's probably an automatic 4/3 ruling for Trump.

I don't think that's a guarantee at all. Sure, Alito and Thomas are probably Trump supporters, but I can easily see one or both of Kennedy and Roberts being unwilling to support Trump. Roberts, especially, remembers the damage the Court's image took after Bush v. Gore, and he would be very reluctant to plunge the Court back into that kind of quagmire.

Meh. I'd normally agree, but the idea that Donald Trump would make a terrible president shouldn't be a political issue. We had bipartisan consensus on this issue just a matter of months ago. Tongue

Don't worry, that's not going to happen.  This election will not be close.

Indeed. She was far too kind to TrumpMillerBarron whatever alias the demented psychopath is using this week.

Really sad to see the dementia kicking in after such a long and heroic career.

"Long and heroic" is a pretty damned inaccurate description of TrumpMillerBarron's lifetime of bigotry, egotist, and con-artistry.

I didn't know Merrick Garland and Sri Srinivasan were "the worst possible people."
