Just when you thought serial killers had been killed off by the Pokemon Go craze......our fine residents of Phoenix are under immediate and apparent danger.

7 killed and counting. Here is the map:

https://litabeck.carto.com/viz/ee705d7a-380d-11e6-ac86-0e787de82d45/public_map

As opposed to Chicago where no one seems to care

2,110 shot and counting. Here is the map:

http://crime.chicagotribune.com/chicago/shootings/

11 people shot in Chicago were not in the map, but included in the numbers.

I will take my chances in Phoenix.

Well, the Phoenix shooter would seem to be more lethal as 7 of the 9 people he is suspected of  shooting have died, while the overall conversion rate in Chicago is around 15%.  Why you personalize this is a bit beyond me as you could visit either of these cities or other violent ones like New Orleans and personally have virtually no chance of being shot.  You see, the vast majority of shootings, and more specifically,  murders involve people who know each other (the Phoenix case appears to be an exception) and they tend to occur in socioeconomic classes that you are not apart of.

Yeah, you are right.

I did not realise the death rate from Chicago shootings was 15%.

And yes, the one in Phoenix has a pretty high ratio in comparison.

I guess it's something hard for Australians to understand.

To give you a clue, we have one shooting death in Perth in 6 months, and it is front page news:

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/banksia-grove-shooting-sparks-perth-bikie-tensions/news-story/6551322330484edd113f6fb4a7bb07c7

The situation in Chicago appears insane in comparison.

You would assume that everyone walking around with a recording device would inhibit criminal activity.

But apparently not.

I doubt Pokemon Go is much of a craze in the bad areas of the Southside of Chicago.

Lol!

Let's have a look at what is going on in Chicago.

https://www.timeout.com/chicago/blog/pokemon-go-is-taking-over-chicago-070816

People have stopped shooting each other, and are now shooting each other in virtual reality.

Imagine how rich the first person will become when they invent a real world first person shooter on a virtual reality platform.

Meclazine, Chicago is vastly superior to Phoenix in virtually every aspect, from music, food, sports, architecture, beaches and parks, walkability/bike-ability/public transport, universities, museums, and so on. Summertime Chi is basically a perpetual four month party. America is a great place if you're not a poor minority, and Chicago is a microcosm of that fact.

As opposed to Chicago where no one seems to care...

Posted the same day this was uttered at the ESPY awards with Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James standing shoulder to shoulder on the stage...

When is the racist concern trolling of Chicago going to stop?

Nobody posted a thread about this serial killer.  It's not a huge story to us.  But someone noticing it's absence from our forum posted about it to complain about how much attention it is getting.  Pretty much the definition of irony.
