This entire day has been such a turnoff for any reasonably educated and decent Republican.  Can they try any harder to appeal to the uneducated, xenophobic southern hicks?!  Seriously why the heck is some duck dynasty bum on stage?  He needs to take a shower.

Here's a solution if you want to stop being embarrassed (justifiably so):

If people like me leave the party, that just gives them even more power.

The party has already left you, friend. What we are seeing this week is the Republican Party. Its biggest factions are now Trumpites and Cruzians—if you're okay with that reality, stay. But moderates aren't going anywhere among the GOP's ranks. Not anymore.

Bingo.

Then where do you suggest we go?

Libertarians? Or form a new party and nominate a popular centrist?

The Democrats have issues with moderates too...white centrists like Joe Manchin are being marginalized.

I wonder if this guy will support Trump in his "I like the ones who weren't shot down" position.

Who do you mean when you say "this guy" ?

"Lone survivor" guy who spoke a couple of minutes ago.

Trump on Fox News RIGHT NOW, literally counter-programming his own convention.

What part of it is insane, exactly? Do you think this woman, who lost her son is lying about what Hillary! told her? Why would she do that?

Facts? Were you in the room when Hillary! told her what she did? Seems like you are calling Mrs. Smith a liar.

While I think these speakers have been nuts, I can't help but think they might be more moving to everyday people than a well-polished speech from say Rubio, etc.

So here's what you guys are saying. The GOP has so forsaken moderates that it would be a better strategy to join the Libertarians (lol) or start a new party (bigger lol) to get moderate-conservative legislation passed. Yeah that's absolute bs, and that's why people like Brown Line will stay in the grand old party.

Good job, you figured it out. She's a liar.
Doubtful. Mrs. Smith lost her son.

Hillary! and Obama had the election at stake.

Who has more motive to lie here?

You think she simply snapped due to enormous grief?  I guess that's possible, but she's still crazy.
