It looks like Donald Trump has just officially won a majority of delegates.

This maybe a silly question, but what if Donald Trump says "Mr. Chairman, delegates. I decline your nomination for President of the United States" during his acceptance speech and just walks of the stage. What would happen? Tongue

If Alaska gets their way, Rubio will beat Kasich in the count. Also don't know why the DC and Iowa counts were ignored, they might as well challenge too.

They should just give Alaska to what the count was (12 Cruz, 11 Trump, 5 Rubio), same with Iowa and DC if they challenge.

Alaska contesting the way its votes were counted.

At this point in time, what difference does it make?

The Prime Time speakers schedule is officially funked up now.  Is this Alaska thing just a speedbump, or is this turning into a proper trainwreck?  If they don't sort it out quickly this becomes a disorganized sh**tshow as more states ask for roll call votes.

I wouldn't put it past him, tbh. I hope he does. His candidacy is a toxic blend of cultural revanchism and anti-intellectualism, and if he wants to avoid inflicting this on us for another four months then I will appreciate that.

Usually, there's a motion to suspend the rules.

Or they learned to be a lot more careful about how they write their delegate selection rules.

Or they learned to be a lot more careful about how they write their delegate selection rules.

According to the Alaska chairman, they suspended the rule to give all their delegates to the one candidate at their state convention.
