Anyone else feel like the GOP just wants to be the opposition party?

They probably do, but the Democrats will have their work cut out for them with the military issues.

The hall is still quite full. The concourse is active with delegates getting food or using the rest room, but at least 3/4 of the floor is busy.

At least one South Dakota delegate isn't happy:

Some delegations like MI are largely in their seats and attentive. Others are milling around in small groups ignoring the speeches. The guests in the balconies are the most attentive.

Late night receptions will be starting in the next hours, so I expect people to start heading out when their events get started.

Interestingly, Mukasey didn't say anything in his speech to indicate that he was backing off of his refusal to endorse Trump.  He just spent the entire speech attacking Clinton, and didn't mention Trump's name.  I wonder if Cruz will do the same.

I love it how Johnson still thinks the Patriot Act as written in 2001 is still popular.

Johnson propping Feingold as the best anti-war, pro-civil liberties senator Wisconsin had in recent memory.  Thanks, Ron!
