Well as a person who doesn't have an irrational fear of Gov. Walker like our forum dems, I thought it was a good speech.

What did it for me was that he cut 300M from our higher education system and then used nearly that same amount of money to subsidize a new stadium.

Then there's that whole issue of him undercutting John Doe investigations by loading the Wis Supreme Court, and running as a moderate then governing as an extremist.

But you're from Wisconsin. Why can't you let people from Indiana lecture you on how rational your governor is!

Yeah but I doubt you use your elected position to spread hate and fear and lies all in God's name while calling yourself a "family values evangelical born-again conservative Christian." I have nothing wrong with people who pray; I do, however, have a big problem with people who use religion to prey on people's fears and bigotry to further their own ambitions. Republicans think they OWN Christianity and that one must be a Republican to be a Christian. I don't recall seeing anywhere in the Bible where it says that God or Jesus was a Republican. (Of course, the revisionist historians may change this like they change the history books in Texas, if they get a chance...)

I agree. It wasn't just the best one tonight, either. In my opinion, it was the best speech of the entire week. I don't think anything could get me to vote for Trump, but that speech helped me understand why someone might.
