Manafort reports Trump's acceptance speech will model Nixon 1968...wow

Karen Tumulty
Karen Tumulty – Verified account ‏@ktumulty

At Bloomberg breakfast, Manafort tells reporters that model for Trump's acceptance speech will be Nixon

Unfortunately for them, 2016 is not 1968 demographically or socially

Chaos on the floor! What a scene, reminiscent of conventions of old

It's not like Colorado isn't a key swing state in November

It's becoming more likely that Trump gets a negative bounce from his convention at this rate

As a New Yorker, let me apologize for being from the state that unleashed the fools known as Donald Trump and Chris Collins to a national political audience

Is New York going to be the state that puts Trump over the top?

Yes because it is tradition for the candidate's home state to cast those votes

Correction: Oklahoma will go, then Pennsylvania will pass to NY I believe, unless the math still doesn't add up. Forgot that Kasich gets all the delegates in Ohio as it was a winner take all

Alaska contesting the way its votes were counted.

Alaska was supposed to go 12 Cruz, 11 Trump, 5 Rubio. Minor ruckus on the floor

My question is why didn't they just count all the votes as they were cast? Trump was going to win anyway and it improves chances for party unity on their side
