Oh, well:

1.) Should a federal license system be introduced for gun purchases, and ownership?
I'm leaning towards yes, becasue it seems like the most efficient way to actually enforce gun laws.

Very much support.

I think I could only support this if we introduce some sort of appeal system for the no-fly list.

No, I don't think I can support this.

I definitely don't support this.

1) National Concealed Carry Permits which allow one concealed carry permits for all three regions
Eh, I don't know. I'm thinking that concealed carry laws should be a regional thing.

Sure, I don't see why not.

On the no fly list, the burden of proof must be on the government and it must be very specific and strict.

So, when are we going to actually vote on these things? Are we waiting for more people to comment?

I'm not Chair but I was hoping to have a simple up and down vote on these 5 and then depending on what passes merge it into a larger bill

Since I'm back from Holiday I'm willing to take over as Chair.

Any objections?

I wholeheartedly support Blair as Chair (it rhymes so it must work!).

I also enthusiastically support his licensing bill. I would like to encourage (until we figure out these Congressional Committees) all representatives and senators to speak their minds about it.

I have a question about Blair's bill.

What is exactly the point of a mandatory background check on tax records to apply for a Federal Firearms license?

More so meant that it can be an option rather than is mandatory. Basically to ensure financial security for firearm owners, and ensure that people who are tax fugitives can't buy firearms.

On a wider point do we want to continue with this committee/vote on this bill or should I just introduce it as Senate Legislation

Hello everyone, I believe I have been appointed to this Committee so I would just like to say that I hope we have meaningful debate and produce results through this committee.

I guess the first step is to elect a chair, I am not sure who is supposed to run the chair elections.

I'm active Chair atm but with my Presidential run I'd be happy to let someone else who is interested take over as long as they put in the work

I nominate Representative NeverAgain to chair this committee, seems like the logical next rung of the command.

I'll take the nomination. As this became a debacle last time, 24 hours to oppose or I become chair.
