Republicans: Consol Energy Center (Penguins arena) Pittsburgh, PA

I expect they want to keep going after the rust belt, and Pittsburgh is a pretty representative city of that.

Democrats: T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas NHL team arena) Las Vegas, NV

This one might be a bit odd, considering Nevada will be Likely D by then, but I think the Dems will try to max out the Hispanic vote across the region and hopefully carry Arizona.

Republicans: Milwaukee (?)
Democrats: Pheonix (Easy)
What would be pretty incredible would be if the Republicans decided to do something bold and hold it in Detroit and show America what one party democratic rule does to a city.

GOP: Detroit

Dems: Atlanta or maybe Houston if they manage to win TX-GOV or TX-SEN in 2018
Texas will not vote for a Democrat in either of those elections. The governor is among the most popular in America.

He has a 55%-60% on average.

That's far from Charlie Baker's 75%-80% average.

This is Donald Trump we're talking about, of course he'll hold the convention in New York City. The man lives and breathes New York.

Republicans -- a Trump casino resort. Democrats -- secret sessions in concentration camps in the Dakotas or more openly in various places of exile such as  New Delhi, Jakarta, Berlin, London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Auckland, Sydney, Hong Kong... Maybe some obedient rump will hold its convention in the safety of a janitor's closet in a Trump casino resort having decided to sell out for survival and a few perks.

It could be that bad, with the Democratic Party either outlawed or marginalized.
