Very curious.

Within Christianity, obviously Eastern Orthodox. Outside of Christianity, obviously Judaism. For atheists, just choose what your "favorite" religion is.

Probably Greek Orthodoxy within Christianity outside of that Orthodox Judaism.

(From Lutheranism) Anglicanism or Presbyterianism.  Outside Christianity, maybe Reformed Judaism.

I'd probably convert back to Presbyterianism. Lutheranism doesn't sound bad either. But outside of Christianity, I'd consider Mormonism Wink

Unitarianism or Order of Interbeing Buddhism (have occasionally practiced it before).  I don't really like the word convert, it doesn't make sense in my case.  Huge admirer of Taoism, though IDK how you'd convert to that.

Buddhism comes closest to my moral beliefs, even if metaphysically it can be a bit... out there. I also have a bit of a fascination with Ibadi and Shi'a Islam - the former for its views of predestination and how to interpret religious law and the latter for it's unique views on trans rights (at least in Iran). It would have to be a pretty darn liberal interpretation of any form of Islam for me to even consider joining, though.

EDIT: And also for the record, I'm currently a de jure Lutheran but de facto irreligious.

Most likely Judaism of course, but I would possibly consider the Union of Utrecht (old Catholic) for purposes of matrimony.

Within Buddhism, Zen can be metaphysically totally materialist.  Although I guess still weird or at least disorienting.

I'm presumably not allowed to pick a slightly different denomination, so I choose Islam.

Methodist->Unaffiliated Protestant

If it can't be Protestant, I'd pick Greek Orthodox. If another religion, a Reformed Jew.

This is a weird question.

Convert to on what basis?  Culture?  If you believe Jesus is the son of God, it wouldn't make logical sense to convert to a religion that says otherwise.  Or maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Anyway, probably ELCA Lutheran or Methodism, more likely the former until the American Methodists decide to break from the UMC.
