The concepts themselves? They are hardly novel in a political speech. I am sure, if you did enough research, you can see that Michelle "plagiarized" those two graphs from some other politician or politician's wife.

I feel really bad for Melania. I felt that she'd be grilled intensely by the end of the week, but it looks like she'll barely make it through the night. She probably didn't even wanna give a speech like that either.


That being said, this is completely the fault of Trump's disorganization and lack of vetting. Not only would a 20 minute review of the speech help to delete the lines, it would have really helped with managing some of those speaking times. Tomorrow is only the next chapter of this incredible week of drama; Who the hell is in charge?

Why do you think I'd EVER do any speechwriting for a Democrat? Hell no.

But you know what? The next FLOTUS used similar language in a speech made by the previous FLOTUS, which is pretty much your typical "we worked hard" and canned optimism for the next generation speech that 99% of all politicians give.

Yes, Melania Trump told a news journalist that she wrote as much of the speech as possible.

She did not say she wrote the whole speech.
