Alright, so I was told earlier that this is a kid friendly forum or somethin.  Now, I am not making excuses here, but I wasn't exactly given an upbringing worthy of being taken to a debutante ball or even weekly Wednesday night trips to the God place.  I was told by some chill friend of mine that this was a relaxed forum where people talked about any and everything.  Turns out that friend was pulling my leg.  Massively.  So, I posted as myself with the understanding that the TOS that I saw joining here was very loosely enforced.

Even then, I still feel that my behavior in the past couple of weeks (hell my behavior outside of the first week I joined) has been a bit confrontational and petty. I admit, I am a blue collar boy.  And I'm proud of it.  I am a damn good liberal, I support things like women's rights, gay rights, and abortion, but at the end of the day a lot of the classism I see from supposedly "liberal' upper class white people turns my stomach.  That doesn't change the fact that I've said a lot of hurtful things, damn hurtful things, about a certain class of people who have mostly good intentions but are ignorant of the lifestyles and cultures of those they demonize.  I'd been having a tough few weeks balancing issues with student loan debt (currently pursuing an MBA), fighting a corrupt gym in this state to get out of my contract, the fence in my backyard fell down due to heavy winds, my ex is being very rude and saying bad things about me, etc. etc. etc.  Again this doesn't excuse my behavior, but I hope it at least explains why it's been notably worse.  Combine that with just general apathy for how things are going politically (the workingman continually getting shafted by both ends), I hope you all can find it in you to be a little forgiving.  I know people, more than I would like, who are ending up on foodstamps and defaulting on their payments.  To see an election year where their concerns will not be heard breaks my heart and it just really gets to me particularly on here where everybody seems to be either a Clinton supporter, a crypto-racist Trump supporter, a #nevertrumper, or a libertarian.  Okay,  there are a few fellow travelers, bu they feel few and far in between.

I could go on and on and on about my upbringing and how low class it was but the overall point here is that there seems to be a very big cultural difference here that my buddy didn't clue me into (because of course he was pulling my leg, why would he?).  He's also a huge Sanders supporter and had an account on here for years before quitting.  He riling me up also doesn't help, as he seems to be prone to the same sort of vulgar rhetoric that I am (he's a upper class stoner, go figure).

Anyway, my break is almost up so I'm sorry about my behavior, I'll try really nice to play nice and calm, and I hope that wherever the hell you guys are it's cooler than it is here.

I'm not sure that your friend lied to you. There's a fine balance between "kid friendly" and "cool" that we tend to strike just fine. Posters like TNVolunteer, Wulfric, BRTD, and such are just the entertainment.
