Historically, no Republican has ever been elected President without winning Ohio.

So in that context, this is very bad news for Trump.  He should know better than to get into a fight with the Governor, who is well liked in Ohio.

Trump is attacking Kasich as a kamikaze attack. He likes the guy, and Trump knows that Kasich would be a great surrogate.

Kasich is a guy who needs to get over himself and get on the Trump Train.  He could credibly do it, and he'll be blamed for Ohio going for Clinton if he doesn't do it soon.
