Will hurt Cruz in 2020 big time. Matter of fact Mike Pence is probably the odds favorite right now going into 2020 primaries. Of course things can change in 4 years just my 3 cents.
Agreed. If Hillary wins especially, Pence comes off far more favorably as someone who did his best to prevent her election, as opposed to Cruz, who in the view of many hard liners, put the country behind his own selfish gain. And those would be his primary base of support.
He won't get to monopolize the social conservative bloc again, not with people like Cotton and others possibly running and Pence was leading the fight for tea party causes against the Bush era GOP, when Cruz was still a Bush hack.
