Love it, still will vote for Hillary because he won't win and it'll help ensure that Trump loses.

I'd love it if Johnson beat Bush's 0.95% of the vote.

In the same way that in the end many NeverTrumpers grudgingly embraced Cruz (and to a lesser extent Kasich) because there was no other choice, I have always thought they would eventually gravitate to Johnson for the general. After all the futile talk of finding an indie, they now have no other choice except don't vote or pointless write ins.  With Romney and Bush and maybe others, this could become a thing, especially if both of them connect Johnson to their money people.

But I wonder if Johnson becomes more and more associated with NeverTrump Republicans, will that turn off the few Bernie holdouts that are also gravitating to Johnson. Recent polls show that he is pulling a bit more from Hillary.

Johnson hit that milestone four years ago.

Anything less than Nader '00 nationally is an utter failure for the libertarians in this age of historic dislike of both major party candidates.

Unlike most people in his party, Gary Johnson has been subdued by government and knows you can't just wave a magic wand to make the fed disappear.  He might be the only only moderate Republican...er, I mean, libertarian I wouldn't mind having as president.

That said, good move by Jeb.  I doubt he's enthusiastic about Gary Johnson, but I admire that he is willing to put country before party.  Trump is too big a threat to sit on the sidelines.

If Johnson gets Bush and Romney, he might even get other #NeverTrump Republicans. That could be great for him.

Ah, hate to break it to you, but such folks were not going to vote for Trump just because Johnson was not on the ballot. Johnson may get some votes of those Pubs who loathe Trump, who might otherwise vote for Hillary. I think on balance Johnson helps Trump. A vote for Johnson is only a half vote against Trump, while a vote for Hillary is a full vote against Trump. I highly recommend going the full vote route against Trump, but that is just me. He's just too dangerous to be parsimonious and slash one's voting impact in half.

If Romney endorses Johnson, the electoral map changes because Johnson will win Utah and it seriously complicates Trump's map to 270

These maps throw the election to the House

Hillary 265 EVs
Trump 267 EVs
Johnson 6 EVs

This map produces a 266-266 EV tie with Utah's 6 EV going to Johnson

Why does everybody assume Johnson will win Utah?  I'm guessing Mormons wouldn't like Johnson that much more than Trump.

If Gary Johnson got Romney's endorsement he would win Utah

Bullsh**t.  A vote for Johnson is a vote for Johnson.  I probably won't vote for Johnson, but I certainly won't vote for Clinton or for Trump, and you may not count my opposition to Trump or to Clinton as half of anything.  It is full-on, raging opposition, just as those who will vote for Johnson fully oppose Trump and fully oppose Clinton.

Anyway, I don't care whether any of the Bushes endorses Johnson, but I'm glad to know that they're not supporting Trump.  Fully and completely.

If Romney endorses Johnson and Johnson wins Utah, I have a hard time seeing Clinton lose Arizona.
