I'm pretty sure he didn't mention Hillary once in that entire video.

Statementa like those aren't going to change any votes. The people who are voting for Trump are strongly influenced by emotion and the tendency to believe they and their beliefs are being attack. Quelling those fears will be more successful than outright anger.

The country you want is gone and it is time you guys have learned to accepted that.

Not useful or constructive.  His show was already pretty irrelevant by the time he retired due to its drift towards being just partisan leftism.  The Jon Stewart of 2006-2012 could maybe have been an important voice but not the Stewart and the daily show of 12-15.

I have had to hear this nonsense from Trump supporters (and other right-wing fanatics) about them “taking our [their] country back” for years now. It is beyond absurd and frustrating. I had no idea America solely belonged to any one political or religious group of Americans; I thought you were American if you lived here and were loyal to the country. But I suppose they have somehow earned the right to claim this nation as theirs based on their inherited privilege of being straight, white, Christian, “natives."

It's a big fat strawman, a favorite of the post-Bush daily show.  They need easy targets to mock or argue against as the audience cheers them on.

Most Trump supporters I've seen want to take this country off what they see as a dangerous path fueled by political correctness.  Like as Trump argued last night, letting criminals out of jail because they're illegal immigrants.  That's very different from "take this country back from the browns and give it to the whites"

This is not a call to Trump people. This is a call to the rest: take your country back! Or, rather, don't get it stolen from you! Vote!

Nobody cares about you, least of all your candidate Donald Trump.  Do whatever you want.  Hollywood leftists aren't telling you to do anything.

lol at Jon Stewart being a Hollywood leftist. He's from Jersey and his show was in New York. Maybe he's a (((New York Liberal))) but he's definitely not from the west coast.

Agreed. Jon Stewart's irrelevance is massive...

These days "dog whistle" is just leftist for "racism only I can see.". It's such a cheap little free pass to call anything remotely involving any particular ethnicity racism.  And using what sounds like an inner-circle campaign term even makes you sound smart.  2 for 1!

Makes me miss Jon Stewart and wish he would replace all these unfunny boilerplate liberal hacks who have sprung up in his place.

Has Jon Stewart weighted in on the corrupt DNC and WikiLeaks?

lol Trump's working-class support is so overrated. And I suppose all of the working-class blacks, Latinos, and other ethnic and racial minorities - as well as the many working-class whites who are unequivocally opposed to Trump - don't count right?
