Massive FT

Hillary Clinton chose wisely. Kaine is by far the best choice IMO. Kaine>>>>>Warren, although Warren is not that bad either.

Better than Trump/Pence.

Kaine is alright and easily the best choice of those she was rumored to be considering.

Love it!  She shouldn't take any risks against a pushover like Donald Trump.

Meh.  It's safe.

The election is hers to lose.  If she runs a color by numbers major mistake free campaign she wins.

I don't know enough about Kaine to get too excited.  Obviously I like that his successor will be a Democrat.  So good strategy there.  He speaks Spanish so that is going to be huge.  The guy is going to be all over Telemundo.  Ordinarily a veep speaking Spanish is no biggy to me.  But given the optics of this year it is going to be a factor.

Horrible ticket because of the person on top of the ticket. I like Kaine a little bit though.

Perfectly acceptable and what matters most is if the POTUS is comfortable with that person.

FT, but not as good as a Clinton/Warren or Clinton/Perez ticket.

Don't forget, Kaine was born and raised a soothing Midwesterner, before Harvard Law, Honduras, and Virginia.

This ticket will seriously challenge Trump (and Johnson) for centrist voters. Kaine is a solid substitute for Clinton and someone who will bolster her flank. He will pretty much assure that VA is in the Clinton column in November and make Trump's climb even harder.

On the negative side, this will hurt Hillary's already sore image with Sanders supporters and Kaine is not a telegenic pick (but since his counterpart is Pence, it doesn't really hurt).

All out, I would say this was the best choice Hillary could have made and it will help her.

I don't get why people don't like Kaine. He's a great choice, and a solid progressive, especially considering he represents a swing state.

One thing I've always liked about him is his opposition to capital punishment.

Kaine adds no enthusiasm, he's an obnoxiously safe choice for a candidate that is constantly getting flack for being overly risk averse.

I never looked at Tim Kaine's bio with much depth, but after this I certainly will now.
