Your challenge,  should you accept it, is starting from the present day craft a scenario where Ted Cruz Wins the 2020 US election. Let's say Clinton beats Trump by around 5% and gets 350-ish or more EVs. How does Cruz win the 2020 primary? How does he handle his brand after Trump? If he's the nominee, how does he win the general? What events would  be needed? Go ahead!

Former Senator Ted Cruz - 55.2%, 35 states
Former Governor Chris Christie - 19.7%, 9 states + D. C.
Governor Henry McMaster - 19.4%, 6 states

Others - 5.7%


284: Former Senator Ted Cruz/Governor Dean Heller - 50.9%
254: President Hillary Clinton/Vice President Tim Kaine - 46.1%
Others - 3.0%
