Why not? That will improve her chances of being elected. She can always back down on that promise later, if she feels like it.

Ljube,
She doesn't need to "improve her chances of being elected."
Her chances are pretty-damn-good now.

Regardless of how good your chances are, you always want to make them better, particularly if it will cost you nothing.

Yes so a more progressive candidate wins in 2020.

No, think about your signature.  Mitch McConnell, the very next day after this happens: "Senate Republicans will do everything we can to ensure that no action will be taken on any presidential appointments to the Supreme Court until 2021."

They might not be in position to prevent that is the Dems win back the Senate.

This would accomplish nothing and would worsen the partisan gridlock if anything. Just stall four more years would be the GOP's plan.

Otherwise, stall eight more years would be the GOP's plan.

No first time candidate for President should ever make that pledge.

It would accomplish nothing.

If you don't like her, you are not going to vote for her anyway.

If you like her, you will vote for her.

Making a silly pledge will not really change any minds.

I would be okay with that for a variety of reasons, but I do not think it would gain her more votes.

I do think it would increase our chances of keeping the White House in 2020. It would also allow her to govern without fear. I feel like second-term presidents always govern better than first-term presidents.

I think this question is idiotic.

I can't wait for her to get into office and start the myth-busting. She is a workaholic and she puts her nose to the grindstone. She never backs down from any challenge. She is a consensus builder and a relationship builder, and she listens to what people have to say.

I predict she will be one of the most popular Presidents, just wait and see. She will bring a freshness to the job because no one knows what it will be like to have a female for President; there is no precedent to fall back on using preconceived notions.

All that utter garbage that people continually spew about her is about to be royally challenged. And I can't wait to see the day.

That makes no sense. Term limit pledges have never proven to get votes and most of the people who have made them have always ended up running for more terms than pledged.

This post is like the bargaining stage of grief.
