A U.S. Ambassador killed in the way that Ambassador Stevens was is a matter of public record. Trump maybe should say he'll stop mentioning Stevens by name, but to imply that everyone needs to stop talking about the incident because it's uncomfortable for the Secretary of State under which it happened? Sorry, mom, but your boy accepted a public position in the foreign service of the United States, and such positions are (and need to be) accompanied by a fair amount of public scrutiny. Asking about the circumstances surrounding the death of the Ambassador and three other men? That is fair game, no matter how you cut it.

Seriously, when are you going to change your avatar to blue?

Benghazi is over and has been throughly investigated and the only reason Republicans care about this is because of political reason, which is callous and cynical.

It is time to move on and let the fallen rest in peace.

Perhaps you need to send a note to that Benghazi victim's mother, Patricia Smith, about it being "time to move on". She might express a difference of opinion.

And why all the concern over the color of my avatar? There are good reasons for my avatar being green, none of which apply to this issue.

Perhaps you, SillyAmerican, need to send a note to Chris Stevens' mother, about how her son's death is a "matter of public record," and that Trump & the GOP have a opportunistic right to use her son's name and demise for political gain.

No where does the mother say or "imply that everyone needs to stop talking about the incident." She is talking about her son, and her son only. She chose her words carefully, as she does not want to interfere with the rights of the family of the others who perished.
So for you just to pull this out of your ass, is wrong. The only person here who is "implying" this, is you, and (once again) you are doing it for "political" reasons. That is disgraceful !

And one other thing .... your "fair amount of public scrutiny" (time) was over a long, long, long time ago.
This is the reason why the mother of Stevens' is speaking out, and is finally saying enough, is enough, is enough already.

Yes, and as I said, Trump should stop mentioning Ambassador Stevens by name, in deference to his mother's wishes. But as I also said, an ambassador's activities, and this incident in particular, are part of the public record, a record that many (myself included) feel reflects rather poorly on the Secretary of State for whom the ambassador worked, someone who is now running for the office of President of these United States. So yes, the circumstances surrounding Stevens' murder should (and will) be discussed, because they speak to the character and substance of candidate Hillary Clinton. And the motivations of the people who would like to see the matter discussed are no more political than the motivations of those who would prefer to see the matter dropped completely. I respectfully disagree with your claim that the time limit for discussing the issue has been reached, and am sorry to have to inform you that that will not occur for another 107 days.
