Interesting motivation for Russia: They don't necessarily want to help Trump, but they do want to show they can and will disrupt our political system just as they feel Americans disrupted Putin's authority and political power back in 2011 and 2012.

A private security firm said the Russians were behind two separate DNC hacks back when it was first reported a month ago. Since then, Trump has hinted he won't defend NATO allies. Regardless of whether you think we should be pulling out of NATO or not, any time a major foreign power tries to influence a U.S. election it should be cause for concern. If every country around the world got a say in American government, it's no longer our government, it's more like a world government that we exclusively pay taxes to. That the true globalist boogeyman right there.
Exactly why it's inappropriate for Merkel, Hollande, Trudeau, May, and others to call out Trump, right?

More evidence indicates direct Russian involvement to help Trump:

Note that metadata on the wikileaks email hack indicates that the information went through Russian computers

Okay seriously, this is a bigger deal than DWS stacking the deck against Bernie. The CIA, State Dept. or whoever needs to get to the bottom of this now. We can't have foreign interests, especially Putin, trying to influence our elections. I'm sick at the thought of the Russia duping Bernie supporters into voting for Trump / staying home so they can install someone they prefer. What happened to the Republican Party that stood against this kind of stuff??

You knew a campaign as cautious as the Hillary campaign would not make such a charge unless they knew there was a case

It's crazy to see the shift from the Republican party in 2012' when Romney was charging Obama of being to soft on Russia.

The original story about the leaks gets stuck on A10, but a defensive piece for the DNC paper of record's friend Hillary gets A1 press. Typical liberal media bias in action, folks.

In any event, this distracts from the main story: that Democrat officials stacked the decks in favor of Hillary. That Democrat officials maligned Sanders about his Jewish faith. That Democrat officials, including the interim DNC chair, did not like Sanders. And that the DNC and their Pravda papers and media outlets of record coordinated over and over and over again to drive a left-leaning narrative down the throat of the American voter.

All references are to articles written by Clinton backers. If Trump were connected to Putin FBI would have started an investigation. No such investigation has been conducted.
Suppose the allegations about Trump's ties with Russia are correct. It means that American law enforcement agencies are helpless and incompetent, and Obama is a complete nonentity who has ruined the country to allow  a Russian  agent becoming one of the main presidential candidates.

Вполне возможно что Путин помогает Трампу от рассчитывание что Америка будет слабее под Трампом, а не потому-что Трамп агент России. То что Кайзер послал Ленина в Россию не означало что Ленин был немецким агентом.

And how does he help him, I wonder? Wires money to his bank account?

This is by the way an interesting issue. If you say that Putin supports Trump what specific methods does he use to realize his support?  Can you name them?

Good to see Clinton following Trump's "evil foreigners are trying to hurt America" playbook. Sad!
The difference is that Putin is an evil foreigner.

Atlas logic: it is completely rational to think that wiki leaks releasing DNC emails about plots to screw over Bernie Sanders means Trump is in Putins pocket. But it's a crazy conspiracy to have any problem with the Clinton foundation receiving money from middle eastern governments.

That's the twisted logic of the radical lefties here.

It's not so much that it puts Trump in Putin's pocket as that it clearly shows who Putin would rather have in the White House.  Putin doesn't need to control Trump, just help him bull his way into the Western china shop to bust up the place so he can pick up the pieces he wants.

Putin supports Trump, King of Saudi Arabia and Sultan of Brunei support Clinton, Cuba and Mexico support Cruz,  Israel supports Sanders,   ect.
Is there any official statement that the emails were hacked by Russian? No. Conjecture made out of thin air.

Actually, yes.  And that was being mentioned well before they got released to Wikileaks.  Of course, the Russians denied it, just like they denied ever engaging in state-sponsored doping of their Olympic athletes.

In what way are olimpic games connected with usa presidential election? В огороде бузина,  а в киеве дядька.
If you say "yes" you should take to court FBI director  and Obama.

I was using it as an example of how Russian denials aren't even worth the paper they are printed on these days.  It is strange what you said in Russian as Russian denials of sending troops to fight for the separatists in eastern Ukraine are as hollow and false, but I used the Olympic ones because they are more current.

Damage control?

Those hackers should be damn good, and wouldn't just leave some metadata by accident...
They did it on purpose. To prove, that Russians can do it?

I'll take the liberty to remind you what FBI director said: "She also used her personal e-mail extensively while outside the United States, including sending and receiving work-related e-mails in the territory of sophisticated adversaries".
He he didn't  specify names of "sophisticated adversaries"  but it's clear that Russia  was meant.
Now you insist here that dnc emails were hacked by Russians,  and that they are very qualified. Consequently you must admit that Clinton' s emails were also hacked and you candidate committed a crime and must be indicted.

So, gentlemen, you have two options.
1. You admit that dnc server was hacked by Russians.  Consequently you must  admit that
1.1. Clinton emails were also hacked when she visited Russia. Clinton is a criminal, a traitor to be indicted and jailed.
1.2 . Your President is a nonentity who permitted Russian agent Trump  to run for president and win the looming election.
1.3. Your FBI director is as incompetent as a rail (this simile is my patented invention)  and must be ousted asap.
2. You reject the idea of Russians hacking dnc email as stupid and improbable. In this case you can safely continue supporting Clinton, crooked as a dog's hind leg (this figure of speech is not mine, feel free to use it)

Read the wikileaks e-mail. The e-mails pretty much link the Washington Post and the NY Times to the DNC.

How does 1.1 follow 1? How does 1.2 follow 1.1 and 1?

You're so quick to point out the "corruption" in the decadent USA, yet you wouldn't know corruption if it slapped you in the face.
