Interesting motivation for Russia: They don't necessarily want to help Trump, but they do want to show they can and will disrupt our political system just as they feel Americans disrupted Putin's authority and political power back in 2011 and 2012.

A private security firm said the Russians were behind two separate DNC hacks back when it was first reported a month ago. Since then, Trump has hinted he won't defend NATO allies. Regardless of whether you think we should be pulling out of NATO or not, any time a major foreign power tries to influence a U.S. election it should be cause for concern. If every country around the world got a say in American government, it's no longer our government, it's more like a world government that we exclusively pay taxes to.
