http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2016-07-24/sanders-calls-on-dnc-chief-to-resign-while-still-backing-clinton

“She should resign, period,” Sanders said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” off the Florida congresswoman. “We need a new chair that is going to lead us in a different direction.” One DNC official who later appeared on the program said she had apologized to the Sanders campaign and predicted that people would have to step down."

"On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sanders was asked to respond to emails from DNC officials questioning his religion. “It is an outrage, and it’s sad that you would have people in important positions in the DNC trying to undermine my campaign,” Sanders said.

She should resign. But it's nice to see her as an ineffective head of the s**tshow that is the Democrat Party.

So as I a Republican, I say, "Stay, Debbie Downer, stay!"

Is this the part where she calls him a self-hating Jew?

CNN is saying she's in a meeting to decide her future right now. So if not before the DNC begins, then after.

You got to hand it to whoever leaked all this DNC stuff (cough Russia cough), they know how to try to throw a monkey wrench into the week where the Dems are supposed to unify behind Hillary.

I think team Hillary has decided out of sight out of mind is a better strategy than having her resign, which could itself become a bigger story.

She should definitely resign, and might as well even considering she isn't even speaking at the DNC anymore. She's nothing more than a symbolic figurehead that is absolutely toxic to large amounts of voters. However, this also presents another counter-argument: If she is basically a useless figurehead, why is it so important she step down now? What is the big deal? She is going to be gone soon enough regardless and has little substantial input at this point.

What's amazing is that there is hardly anything substantial in these email leaks and definitely nothing implicating DWS is some sort of conspiracy to deny Sanders the nomination.

She should resign from Congress as well as the DNC Chair.

If the people of her district keep overwhelmingly voting for her and giving her a mandate, she should stay. They obviously want her and she's not our problem anymore.

Why, what was in the emails to implicate her?  So she was irritated in private that Sanders was being a dick and his campaign was incompetent and blamed the consequences of that on her.  Is she not allowed to have emotions in private?

If she resigns, it's an admission of guilt and caving to Sanders when she has done nothing wrong.  Shame on Bernie for taking advantage of public confusion over these emails to mislead everyone and continue his personal witch hunt against DWS.

DWS publicly insisted multiple times that the DNC was neutral, which turned out to be false.

The emails leaked aren't from DWS and they all seem to be from May, after the primary was basically over. That people working at the DNC were irritated with Sanders and his campaign by May is understandable, especially when, you know, he was suing them.

My company is neutral in the contest, that doesn't mean my personal feelings have to be, just me actions on the behalf of my company

I'm not here to condemn (or defend) DWS but if her stepping aside would put Clinton in a better position in November then she should be gone.

She will resign before the convention starts. Nobody wants her on stage for even a few minutes. That is my prediction.

She hasn't resigned yet, but Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Cleveland, Ohio) is taking over all of the chair functions for the week. DWS will not appear on the stage at any point.

No, at the moment (but not for much longer methinks) DWS is slated to still appear on a cameo basis, and if she does, she will be roundly booed.
