The Republican primary was a absolutely vicious nasty primary, especially between Trump and Lyin' Ted. Would Trump have spoken out at the RNC and asked people to not blindly vote for the nominee and vote your conscience? Only vote for those candidates who want to make America great again?

Of course not. He might even have ran as an Independent anyway.

If he had lost fair and square (Cruz beats him in delegates/popular vote) then probably a Rubio-esque endorsement - "We must beat Hillary in November." If Cruz had taken it from him at the convention? No way.

Not the way things shook out, but if Trump had actually been eliminated fairly early on (sputtered in early states and was in a clear at-best third by Super Tuesday), then I could imagine Trump throwing his support behind Cruz. In a Cruz vs. Trump battle like the one we ended up having, hell no.

Obviously he would have, because TRUMP is such a humble man who really cares about uniting the party and winning, unlike that wretched scoundrel, that son-of-a-Kennedy-assassin Cruz who had the audacity to encourage people to, of all things, vote their conscience...[pukes in own mouth]...sorry, I just can't believe he would do that to someone like TRUMP who has been nothing but kind to him and his family.

(Sorry, I was just practicing my sarcasm game. Real answer: obviously not, the important question would be whether Trump would make an independent run or not.)
