I mean, they kinda did. Not that Republicans didn't help, but the 1960s Democratic Party was not just the Wallace wing.

I swear, if they boo Elijah Cummings I'm gonna scream...
They already booed Clyburn and are chanting "No TPP" as I type this.

Just like yours, with Ted Cruz refusing to endorse Trump?

Which is actually worse than chanting.

This is why it isn't healthy to follow politics this closely- do what 95% of America does- ignore the convention Tongue

The Democratic base is far more divided than what the opinions of the party elites would suggest.

Who cares, Ted Cruz is the past of the GOP and we all know it. He was being heckled by his own delegates for NOT endorsing Trump.

Bernie is being heckled by his delegates FOR endorsing Hillary.

One of these things is worse than the other.

Honestly ready to cry at what these people are doing to a woman who has devoted her whole goddamn life to serving the underserved. It comes from all sides. What should be a positive four days will be ruined by a crowd that is 40% BernieBros.
This is how I feel.

I thought this was would be positive and energizing. Instead it's already making me feel far worse than last week ever did.

Perhaps not as divided as the GOP, but still not unanimous in their support of Clinton like the party leaders are.

The difference is ours is truly a vocal minority, whereas the Republican side is legitimately split something like 40% nationalist, 35% religious 25% establishment.

Northern Democrats were very essential in passing civil rights, I'll give them credit about that any day of the week.  What I hate, however, is when modern day liberals can't just leave it at that and make up fantasies and lies like "the Republicans who supported it were all liberals, and the Democrats who didn't were conservatives who became Republicans right after!" (Both of those claims are, obviously, 100% false, as a wealth of historical evidence shows.

Anywho, back to this shltshow. Smiley

McCaskill, Donnelly, Tester, Heitkamp, and Manchin should probably be shaking right now. The far left progressives don't like centrist Democrats. In 2018, they may be done.
