This is the issue. The second it was announced she was stepping down she was named honorary chair of the Hillary campaign.... WHY?? It's because they probably cut a deal with her to get her to step down, but she should've stepped down years ago. There seriously is a patronage issue in the Democratic party.

Honestly I think it's just a DWS issue. She's selfish and blind to reality. I'd bet anything she was willing to sink the whole ship on her way out if she couldn't get what she wanted. Maybe Hillary should have called her bluff, but I don't know if it would've been worth the risk.
