I think anyone who ever criticized horseshoe theory must now formally apologize.

One example doesn't make the horseshoe theory correct.

Embarrassing.  But, we live in a world where people think it's okay to play Pokemon Go in the Holocaust Museum, so I guess this is just the society we live in now.

It is not a horseshoe, but a two- (or even multi-) dimensional plane. The one-dimensional metaphor is simply wrong.

They are probably not even (predominately) Sander supporters.
They are trump/GOP supporters mixed in with the protests.
As if we don't know that GOP supporters are at the protests surrounding the convention .... Duh.

Yeah, because Republicans have nothing better to do than to shill for Bernie of all people.

Yeah, because Republicans have nothing better to do than to shill for Bernie of all people.

It's definitely a cleverer strategy than some they have tried in the past few elections.

Republicans don't pay for astroturf like the Democrats do. We don't have SEIU or Soros money to waste.

Polling in Ohio suggests that this is objectively not the case:

Yes, trump-Pubs have "nothing better to do".
They decided to take a break from their dominant theme of spreading hate, racism and fear ... and instead show up to protest using other childish methods.

I hope they chant this on the convention floor on prime time TV.

I think the "Lock her up!" bit is ridiculous.  But what did the Hillbots expect.

They hosed Bernie by having the DNC going into the tank for her.  They researched ways to slime Sanders with modern whispering campaigns going after his religion and other things.  Afterward, the DNC offers them a "deep and wide heartfelt apology", and they're shocked that the Berniebots aren't satisfied with an emotional "My Bad!".

Apologies are garbage.  Words are less than cheap.

But Republican delegates sure had "money to waste" buying male prostitutes outside of their convention last week.

First of all, I was being tongue in cheek.

Secondly, obviously these people are not representative of all Sanders supporters, considering depending upon the poll she wins something like 60-90% of them.

The difference being that progressives don't have a problem with being gay, so it doesn't matter if Philly's male escorts have a busy week.  Have you read your party platform lately?

Do you remember the crowd cheering Peter Thiel after saying he's proud to be gay? Do you remember Trump's remarks about the LGBT community? That platform is awful, but it certainly doesn't represent the views of all Republicans.
