Hillary Clinton used to be a Goldwater Girl and she said that she's proud to have been a Goldwater Girl. The Goldwater Girl organization opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. They actually opposed equal rights for black people.
Hillary was part of an organization that was racist and she's actually proud to have been a part of it. That is disturbing.

So what? That was literally generations ago. People change, especially after 40+ years. A person's youth is a volatile time for crafting a worldview.

Pretty sure all of us know at least some older folks that were not the same people in their teens/20s and have differing views, crafted by their experiences in life.

And Goldwater's widow endorsed her and said that he would too. Clearly the lesson to be learned is that everyone who is ideologically anywhere between Bernie Sanders and Barry Goldwater should embrace the HillDawg.

Elizabeth Warren was conservative when she was younger. My mother voted for Reagan but has been a straight ticket Democrat ever since.

Good thing Ronald Reagan was a hardline Republican his entire life, otherwise conservatives might have a conniption.

Hey Randy-4posts (what happened to your old 4th post huh?), if you are going to are going to contribute to this site, why don't you: #1 get your head out of your @**; and #2 not create threads that are as obvious as "Sky is blue. Thoughts?"

But seriously, your head is stuck.

So, in Atlas English, Hillary was more economically conservative but also more socially liberal?

Feel free to post the map of Ukraine.

Elizabeth Warren was conservative when she was younger. My mother voted for Reagan but has been a straight ticket Democrat ever since.

Elizabeth Warren was born and brought up in Oklahoma.  She got her college degree from the University of Houston.  She taught school in Texas I believe.  Elizabeth Warren was a Republican when Rick Perry was Democrat.  In fact Rick Perry switched to the Republican party years AFTER Elizabeth Warren had been voting Democrat.

Michele Bachmann and her husband worked on Jimmy Carter's campaign.

Elizabeth Warren, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, and a whole host of other people switched parties much later in life than Hillary.

In fact one of the reasons I find so many posts on this forum so amusing is you have kids who have never had a job nor paid taxes spouting off about their "political beliefs".  Get a job, run a household, and pay some taxes then tell me how wrong I am and the way the world is supposed to work.  Getting lectured by someone living off of mommy and daddy and government grants is surreal.

You just learned this? I think pretty much everybody who follows American politics has known this for, what, almost 25 years now?

Imagine a world where everyone held to their political positions from when they were 16.   I suspect that every 4 years or so we would be tearing down statues of Karl Marx to be replaced with statues of Ayn Rand, to be replaced with monuments to the 10 Commandments to be replaced with Holograms of Kim Kardashian.

Though considering how much of a warmonger Clinton is, at least some of her pro-Goldwater opinions don't seem to have changed much.

Thank you for bringing this shocking new revelation to my attention. What a flip flopper. She's obviously an unqualified HARPY who should be tossed in jail once the great and mighty President Trump takes office.

I've discovered something perhaps even more shocking: look at the name "Hillary Clinton". Doesn't that last name remind you of anything? Like Bill Clinton, former President? Through my extensive research I have determined that that Hillary is actually married today Bill Clinton. And it's not like she hides this clear collusion, using Bill as her surrogate on multiple occasions. When will the lamestream media cover this people?

Out of curiosity--did Barry Goldwater believe that abortion should be a state issue or did he support Roe v. Wade?

He supported Roe v. Wade, because in his view it kept the government out of making private medical decisions.
