A massive scramble by the party establishment to spin his views as mainstream.  You'd see a lot of leaders of industry being trotted out to exclaim how wonderful Sanders will be for a healthy economy and "fair capitalism."

The word "capitalism" would be spoken about 500 times by speakers.

Very angry. Aside from the fact that he himself and his supporters are prone to this, the rest of the party would restrict itself to attacks on Trump, with perfunctory references to the nominee. So it would be a lot more like the Trump RNC, but worse managed and with less charisma. Lots of awkward moments. And, of course, Bloomberg would have been stealing the stage with his own convention around this time.

I doubt it. Sanders would have won on the back of mostly white liberals. While that branch of party would be enthused, I can't imagine everyone else would be all that excited. Sure, there would be no busting, no walk-outs, no booing or chanting, but quite a few delegations would be very mellow.

I figured the suggestion of a Sanders nom win would entail broadening support beyond young white guys anyway.
