Democrats beat the Republicans again in the ratings game.

Won't matter if they don't get a bump out of it. It's not how many people are watching, it's are the people you want to reach watching

Odds are you'll have a better chance of that though with 5 million more viewers.

I wonder if CA-43 will go the way of NY-13, after Rep. Maxine Waters retires, and elect a Hispanic. I believe a plurality of the district is indeed Hispanic.

CA-43 probably is still majority or at least plurality black by CVAP, so it probably would elect another black representative.

In 2010 it was 46.0%   Hispanic and 23.6% Black. While I agree that it was at least plurality black CVAP then, I don't know what it will be like once she retires. Just one of those interesting congressional footnotes that illustrate changing demographics.

ag is right that Sanders would have made a far worse actual general election candidate than his polling during the primary suggested, but I think it's transparent Very Serious Person fantasizing that Cuomo would be doing better than Hillary is.

The Democrats wouldn't actually have had an especially great bench this year under any circumstances, because of 2010 and 2014, but a divorced-and-cohabiting aging white guy with shady ties from his time as HUD Secretary who, as governor, gave up on a ten-point women's rights program just because the one point expanding late-term abortions didn't pass (while cutting funding for poor and teenage mothers), made reducing public employee pensions his 'top goal', said that social conservatives 'had no place' in his state, and went from a +30 victory in his first election to a +14 victory in his second would not and should not have made it through either a Democratic primary or the general election.

Jackson doesn't have the energy as he did in the 80's.

Jesse Jackson sounded like a broken record and was getting really annoying.

Thank goodness he left the stage when he did.

Hillary Clinton should probably highlight Flint more than she is.

I'm honestly embarrassed that almost half of our country would rather see a convention rife with ridicule and fear mongering than one filled with hope and promise.

Makes me pretty sick actually. Almost as sick as the sane Republicans that are kowtowing to the fear.

Yay Harry Reid! This story about his mother is touching. I wish him well in his retirement.

And hey look at that, our Senate Leader doesn't get booed.

Reid called Sanders a leader and his "forever friend" to lots of applause.

I'm in CA but not a Gavin Newsom fan.
Gavin Newsom is all about Gavin Newsom.
Ted Cruz is all about Ted Cruz.
Kamala Harris is all about Kamala Harris.

Booker is a wall street shill, why would he ever be on a ticket with Warren?

Anyway, Warren/Brown 2024!
