I wonder why they're cramming Kaine into an already star studded night. He isn't the most interesting guy, but it seems a bit odd.

Had she picked a really good orator, I wonder if that person would have the same slot as Kaine.

He actually seems like a pretty good orator. The only question I have is whether or not Kaine should go before or after Obama. Personally I think Obama should go last, but I also don't think it would be fair to Kaine to not get his night as VP.

CA-43 probably is still majority or at least plurality black by CVAP, so it probably would elect another black representative.

In 2010 it was 46.0%   Hispanic and 23.6% Black. While I agree that it was at least plurality black CVAP then, I don't know what it will be like once she retires. Just one of those interesting congressional footnotes that illustrate changing demographics.

This says "gun control is a black issue." What they should have had, is rural white NRA men with scruff beards who go up there and say "I'm a fourth-generation AK-47 owner, but I still support background checks." You're 100% right...Democrats still need around 39% of the white electorate in this country to win so keeping is a must.

I'm confident that at least 39% of white voters aren't racist.
