To add insult to... insult, Tom Kean is 81 and a Republican - so I don't know how Trump believes he got picked for VP

No evidence to say he was confusing him with Kean specifically.  I think Trump knows Kean well enough to know it's not the same person.

Yeah...no. He didn't get confused, he mistakenly said New Jersey instead of Virginia. Note that everything else about Tim Kaine was correct..

Wrong state, wrong party, wrong office, and apparently Trump actually liked the guy?

Sad. Low energy Trump.

He said Kaine proposed a 4 bIllion dollar tax increase as governor, which is true, so clearly he knew who he was talking about and nothing in this Mentions former governor tom kean- only you did. This is silly and obviously Trump meant Virginia and he corrected himself in the interview.

Not seeing anything noteworthy here. For as much real dirty as there is about Trump, his opponents sure spend a lot of time chasing their tails over nothing.

Yep, he slipped up on the name of the state but got everything else right, clearly just a slip of the tongue and not him mixing up people.

This stuff frustrates me because when the media cries wolf or straight up lies over and over again about Trump, really awful stuff like Trump university gets grouped in with that.

Big     Deal

I watched the press conference and Trump said New Jersey then immediately after said Virginia.

He never got Kean and Kaine mixed up.

These new series of polls showing Trump with a good lead must really be spooking Democrats.

Tbh it seems like it would be very easy to mix up.

For example, I remember when they had Tom Kean on CNN one morning back in like 2006 talking about homeland security. And when they introduced him as Governor "Tom Kean" I was mentally expecting my current Governor at the time "Tim Kaine."

Tom Kean=Tim Kaine sounds awfully similar.
