Reich is odd sometimes, but he's smart. Obviously Reich.

Chris Hedges isn't a "left-wing version of Alex Jones," not even close.  But I already saw this and really enjoyed it, and Reich obviously wins.

Whether you like the Democratic Party or not, the United States has FPTP.  It's math!!!

Fair enough.  And he has the credentials to get a pass on spouting this sort of rhetoric.  But I am still allowed to find it ridiculous.

I think Chris Hedges' extremely cynical worldview that the establishment is impossible to oppose makes more sense if you realize that he got blackballed by the NYT after working there for 15 years for opposing the Iraq War (outside of his work as a journalist) back in 2003.

Both Hedges and Reich are well to the left of mainstream American politics, but Hedges is straight up marxist.  I'm a much bigger fan of the "save American capitalism from itself with a social market" project that Reich does a fantastic job of espousing.  But maybe I'm just a tool of the bourgeosie.
