LBJ wins. But there's no third party, Reagan wins most of the south after JFK pushed through civil rights legislation that LBJ supported.

Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson (D-TX)/Senator Hubert H. Humphrey (D-MN): 320 EV. (52.27%)
Governor Ronald Reagan (R-CA)/Congressman Gerald R. Ford (R-MI): 218 EV. (46.40%)

Reagan was seen as too conservative at the time Johnson would have easily beat him.

Johnson/Humphreys: 335 EV. (51%)
Reagan/Agnew: 176 EV. (43%)
Wallace/Barnett: 27 EV. (5%)

Reagan was not seen as electable in 1968. He was also not very experienced in government by that time.
