How large will the "Republicans for Hillary" movement be? What percentage of Republicans will vote for Hillary Clinton?

How Republicans have voted in the past:

2012:
Mitt Romney: 93%
Barack Obama: 6%

2008:
John McCain: 90%
Barack Obama: 9%

2004:
George Bush: 93%
John Kerry: 6%

2000:
George Bush: 91%
Al Gore: 8%

1996:
Bob Dole: 81%
Bill Clinton: 13%
Ross Perot: 6%

A significant portion of Republicans hate Donald Trump. You guys have to remember that 10% of GOP voters are ethnic minorities. Plenty of Hispanic/Asian Republicans who voted for Romney will probably vote for Hillary this year. College educated and especially young Republicans also hate Donald Trump.

I think Hillary could get 10% of Republicans against Donald Trump.

I'm guess-timating about 15%.

20%.

I only know two republicans, and one of the two said he's planning on voting for Clinton.  That's fifty percent.  Might not be a representative sample, though, so I'll go with twenty percent.

With Trump continuing to tick off mainstream Republicans, that number will likely rise above 10%. But, assuming Trump takes a similar number of blue collar Democrats, she really needs over 15% of GOP to win.

Whether she gets it depends entirely on her. If Biden (for example) was running against Trump, he would now probably be getting 25% of Republicans, so it is doable. We will see.

I hope for 15%, and it is not out of reach.

I'll say about 15%.

I'm a Republican-leaning independent who has never voted for a Democrat for president. I will be voting for Clinton in November.
