Agreed it's not offensive-sounding, but it's pretty aggravating to me anyway.

I get that, but what makes it worse than the previous 1,012,711? At least it's genuinely catchy, a saving grace many such songs don't have.

I also think the lyrics sounding insecure and desperate (yeah, they kinda do) could work in its advantage, highlighting that it's often the flip side of apparent determination. Not saying that was the author's intent, but to me that doesn't make them more annoying than they'd be otherwise.

I guess, to me, it just feels like the anthem of those people on Facebook who post those "I'M SO INDEPENDENT AND STRONG" memes in between deeply insecure complaints about their relationships and personal life Tongue
