NATO is obsolete and Crimea is part of Russia. I don't see anything wrong with being pro-Putin. I'd rather be allied with him rather than be against him and supporting Europe, which continues to fall apart.

Very rare sensible reasoning on this forum.

I definitely agree. We don't have to be buddy-buddy with Putin, better to not be enemies as well.  China isn't a shining example of democracy and we've been in mostly good trade relations with them.
