Clinton/Kaine             270
Trump/Pence             268

Virginia was the closest state, with Clinton/Kaine winning it by .03%.  Polls show that many people were going to vote for Trump, but voted for Clinton because Kaine was on the ticket, which ended up in tipping the state to Clinton.

Does Clinton give Kaine expanded powers and responsibilities as Vice President?

Of course not. A win is a win and the VP choice is always part of the metrics of a campaign. Plus, for every voter he attracted in Virginia, there could have been one he turned off in Colorado. There's no way to really know why people vote how they vote.

It would be a traditional administration.

That map may be possible with Rubio, but not with Trump.

Flip Colorado, and it's a plausible map.

She gives him the credit, but she doesn't have any reason to make him more powerful.

Flip Colorado to Clinton and AZ to Trump, and I think you have the likely 2016 map. As of July 29th 2016 that is...

NH could be a state Trump sneaks away with though. Won't change the general outcome though

It comes down to P.A., I don't think he can pull that off or Virginia for that matter.

scenario would still hold with Colorado flipped as well. If you want the numbers tighter, just flip NH as well.

After this convention, and with her speech actually providing substance and your bully of a candidate only offering threats of personal violence and foreign espionage...more like this:
