Wow, New York is in the single digits of population?  That was quite the population exodus since last time.

Ideal districts: 4 22s, 1 23

Well, 111 is exactly how many people voted, so thats right.

Impossible under contiguity rules - the rest of New England would be too far from MD and VA to link up with them

New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont would be possible, though.

I like Joe's map a lot too...plus it has very defined regionality. The orange is west, the blue is midwest, the red is northeast, the green is southeast, and the yellow is...yet another region we'll have difficulty naming.

I understand that, but we have regional senators now, so districts don't have to be culturally perfect.

PBrunsel would be in that mix, too.

That can be solved by switching two of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, and West Virginia.

But that would make the map look ugly and uncontiguous.
