Wow, New York is in the single digits of population?  That was quite the population exodus since last time.

Total population: 111 (by my count)
Ideal districts: 4 22s, 1 23

Well, 111 is exactly how many people voted, so thats right.

Impossible under contiguity rules - the rest of New England would be too far from MD and VA to link up with them

New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont would be possible, though.

I like Joe's map a lot too...plus it has very defined regionality. The orange is west, the blue is midwest, the red is northeast, the green is southeast, and the yellow is...yet another region we'll have difficulty naming. Smiley

Uh-oh, this comment is sure to incite the Wrath of Ilikeverin. Tongue

I understand that, but we have regional senators now, so districts don't have to be culturally perfect.
Do you think I want to compete for BRTD's vote?

So... basically, you're saying that you want redistricting to make you as safe as possible?

Since running for senate, me and ILV seem to be; tried to make a map for fun, where compete against each other we would not.  Biased this map is, but turned out looking pretty good, it also did:

Propose this, I will not; but if like it, someone else does, propose it, they can.

P.S. Talk backwards for only three more days, I must Smiley

Hey, that looks pretty good; it would certainly make my re-election a challenge. Tongue

Here's my attempt at shaking things up. Smiley

District breakdown:

District 1: 23 voters
District 2: 22 voters
District 3: 22 voters
District 4: 23 voters
District 5: 22 voters

Like this one a lot, I do.  Propose it for you, I will.

This is my second favorite map, behind 'ILV and Friends'. Cheesy
Go chaotic redistricting! Tongue
-WMS, who is all for shaking up the districts and making no incumbent truly safe... Grin

Make a CheeseWhiz vs. Gabu vs. Cosmo Kramer, this map would.

PBrunsel would be in that mix, too.

That can be solved by switching two of Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Indiana, and West Virginia.

But that would make the map look ugly and uncontiguous. Sad
