The Courier of Findlay, Ohio endorses nobody.  In 2012 they endorsed Romney.

http://thecourier.com/opinion/couriers-view/2016/10/01/why-we-wont-endorse-trump-or-clinton/

Daily papers (30) --
Clinton 20 (Obama 10, Romney 8, None 2)
Johnson 6 (Obama 2, Romney 3, None 1)
None 3 (Romney 2, None 1)
Anyone but Trump 1 (None 1)
Trump 0

Non-daily papers (2) --
Clinton 2 (Obama 2)

Trump's only remaining endorsement hope (and it does not look good):

Trump's only remaining endorsement hope (and it does not look good):

I'd be very surprised if they endorse Trump. Murdoch may be somewhat conservative in some ways but he's also a big supporter of open borders. Also his sons, who are becoming ever more important in the business, are libs and Clinton supporters.

The NY Post can't formally endorse Clinton because that would be bad for their marketing but I doubt they'll formally endorse Trump either.

That paper is tailor-made for Trump... tabloid trash and right-wing biased. It's Breitbart-lite, really. I highly doubt they'll pass up on endorsing Trump.

They're coming fast and furious.

Spokane Spokesman-Review for Clinton (Romney in 2012): http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2016/oct/02/clinton-the-rational-choice-for-president/

Champaign IL News-Gazette for nobody (Romney in 2012): http://www.news-gazette.com/opinion/editorials/2016-10-02/nobody-president.html/

St. George UT Spectrum & Daily News for nobody: http://www.thespectrum.com/story/opinion/2016/10/01/when-you-go-vote-vote-your-conscience/91386892/.  They're a USA Today partner, but distance themselves from the latter's anti-Trump recommendation.

Daily papers (35) --
Clinton 23 (Obama 11, Romney 9, None 3)
Johnson 6 (Obama 2, Romney 3, None 1)
None 5 (Romney 3, None 2)
Anyone but Trump 1 (None 1)
Trump 0

Non-daily papers (2) --
Clinton 2 (Obama 2)

This is from Wikipedia, so accuracy is questionable.

2004: Kerry 208, Bush 190.
2008: Obama 495, McCain 215 (includes daily and non-daily papers, as well as magazines)
2012: Obama 157, Romney 112, Johnson 2, Stein 2, nobody 18.

We need to include on the main page a list of first-time (or at least in a long time) Democratic endorsements (or at least non-Republican endorsements, plus those in a very very long time)

E.g. cinci enquierer; USA Today

Detroit News, a major Michigan daily, comes out with an endorsement for Johnson, rebuking both Trump and Clinton:

http://www.detroitnews.com/story/opinion/editorials/2016/09/28/endorse-johnson-president/91254412/

I believe that in 2012 they endorsed Romney.

I saw that Thursday morning and thought "That is f***ing embarrassing."

Probably the closest Trump came to a newspaper endorsement.  The Bakersfield Californian says they won't endorse anyone (but urge readers to make up their own minds and vote):

Looks like they did the same thing in 2012 ("You're on your own.")

And apparently, "the Gays" are NOT with Trump!

Dallas Voice issues it's first endorsement in the history of the weekly (with a circulation of about 50,000, it serves the TX LGBT community) - they endorsed Clinton:

For only the third time in its history, The Atlantic is endorsing a candidate - Hillary Clinton (they only endorsed Lincoln and Johnson before that):

For some reason even anti-Trump Republicans seem to be annoyed by this endorsement.

Hardly:

"Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, is erratic, reckless, coarse and utterly lacking in statesmanship. He has a less-than-solid grasp of policy issues and shows little interest in changing that. His candidacy has alarmed conservative U.S. leaders and America’s global allies alike."

They slam Clinton (not quite as bad, IMO), but this is hardly a "lean Trump" semi-endorsement.

Agree.  I counted this as "no endorsement" in my spreadsheet.
